Planta1.com is the online continuation of the former Planta1 Arquitectura, which was an architectural office founded in Cali, Colombia, in 2005, with the objective of providing architectural design as well as consulting and training on architectural software applications.

The office was established immediately upon my return to Colombia after having been in the US for six years, working in architectural offices. Planta1 operated in Cali until April 2009. Those four years in Cali were very productive: I designed and built the Edificio Altamar, where our office was located later. I also had the honor to teach at the Universidad del Valle several courses on software applications for architecture like the ones offered in this website. I also provided consulting on CAD standarization and customization to some architectural offices of the city, such as Nagui Sabet & Associates. I also had time to invent a program, Tra-dwg , which translates technical drawings from one language to another. Now I am offering that service here, too.

Now I have happened to return in times of crisis. In these times, however, the BIM system found in Revit is continuing to gain more importance every day as the standard method of work at architectural offices. This is going to create a high demand for training and implementation. Here at Planta1.com I am offering an online alternative to students and architects, who are going to be able to learn about these topics from their homes or offices, at an affordable price. These are good times for getting training, as preparation for when the economic situation gets better for the construction industry.
