      Because we’re an undergraduate institution, your classes won’t be taught by a grad student. Mount Royal is home to the first faculty in Canada dedicated to teaching excellence, meaning your instructor will be there and committed to your education.

      Our Cougar Athletics teams are the most successful in the history of the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association (CCAA). Support the home team or set your own goals in the 14,000 sq. ft. recreation centre that features a 40-ft. climbing wall, indoor running track, saltwater pool, squash, tennis, basketball, volleyball courts, steam rooms and hot tubs.

Mount Royal offers 43 bachelor degree, applied degree, university transfer, diploma and certificate programs including 30 majors or specializations.

Bachelor degree

      Four-year academic program with a combination of General Education and degree specific courses. Programs may include hands-on learning through co-op, practicum or an internship. Upon completion you will be eligible to apply for graduate school.

Applied degree

     Four-year program that provides a balance of theory, applied coursework, and hands-on experience. Most include one or two directed field study sessions-paid work placements designed to smooth your transition into the workforce.

University transfer

      Programs that allow you to start your degree at Mount Royal before transferring to a university of your choice. You can take up to two years of courses at Mount Royal to complete your program.

Diploma

      Two-year career focused program that combines theoretical and hands-on education for a specific field or industry. Some diplomas can prepare you for further studies in a degree program at Mount Royal or another institution.

Certificate

      One-year programs, both credit and non-credit, designed to help upgrade your skills, gain formal recognition of your abilities, or start a new career path.
