Course description
Students train in the major areas of Montessori learning (Language, Sensorial, Math, Cultural and Practical Life) in order to develop a knowledge of purposeful activities for children along with refined and superior observational skills. The modular format allows students to work as teaching assistants at Montessori childcare centres and preschools upon completion of their first Montessori course. As part of the program, students are required to complete observations outside of class time, which will, in turn, be used to complete assignments.
Applicants should possess an ECE certificate or diploma prior to enrolling in the Montessori Teaching Certificate program.
Graduates of this program will¬ be in great demand both nationally and internationally. After program completion, graduates may find career opportunities in both the profit and non-profit sectors, including day care centres, parent participation preschools, nursery schools, integrated day cares, preschools and family service centres.
