  • Objectives
    The Hotel, Resort and Restaurant Administration program will prepare you for a successful management career in today’s booming hospitality industry. Emphasis is placed on industry-related skills in your first year of study, which are applied during your five-month paid summer placement at recognized hotels, resorts and restaurants. Your second year will focus on hospitality management principles. These can be applied during your second five-month paid summer placement, which enhances the possibilities of permanent employment upon graduation. The third year is comprised of the most comprehensive hospitality management curriculum in Canada. Emphasis is placed on developing analytical problem solving and thought process skills. Through case study analysis, practical application and simulation, your learning experience will culminate in the start-up and operation of your own hospitality business.
  • Practical experience
    This program includes 1600-2000 hours of paid national or international work placement. Previous students have enjoyed placements with firms including: * Marriott Canada/USA * Banff Springs Hotel * Chateau Lake Louise * Jasper Park Lodge * Deerhurst Resort * Holiday Inns * Grandview Lodge

    On completion of this comprehensive program, you will have the option of graduating with your three-year advanced diploma or continuing to your four-year degree. Our formal articulation agreement with Southern New Hampshire University offers students an international education and paid internship experience. Upon completion of two three-month semesters and a nine-month paid supervisory level placement at a major four-star hotel or resort, you will graduate with your four-year Bachelor of Applied Science in Hospitality Administration degree.
