Course description
Students enter the Photonics profile (244.A1) in their first semester with the option of transferring to the Energy Management profle (244.A2) at the end of semester 4.
PHOTONICS PROFILE:
Photonics, the study of generating and controlling photons, includes electro-optics, fibre-optics and imaging systems, and has applications in diverse fields including telecommunications and medical technologies.
ENERGY MANAGEMENT PROFILE:
Energy Management, the study of energy generation and use, includes the engineering techniques used to measure, analyze and optimize the energy consumption associated with the heating, cooling, ventilation, electrical, and lighting systems found in residential, commercial and industrial facilities.
