The Veterinary Health Care Assistant program provides the strong foundation of knowledge and skills that students will need in order to provide a variety of clinical and administrative services in a range of animal care facilities. The work of a veterinary assistant spans the duties of animal health technician and veterinary office assistant. Upon completion of the program, students will be able to work effectively with the animal health technologist and/or the veterinary doctor and will acquire certifications in WHMIS 2015, Standard First Aid with CPR, and, DOGSAFE® Canine First Aid.
