This diploma program prepares graduates with the basic knowledge, skills, values and behaviours necessary for employment in community and private agencies, hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centres. Physiotherapist assistants and occupational therapist assistants play a significant role, working in partnership with and under the supervision of physiotherapists and occupational therapists. Courses in the Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant program focus on understanding human development and the human body. Students will study body mechanics and systems, biochemistry, anatomy and physiology, therapeutic exercise, and the use of advanced technological equipment.
