  The demand for technicians and assistants in retail and community pharmacies has increased over the past decade and continues to grow. As pharmacists take more active roles in the drug therapies of their patients, they entrust dispensing and filling duties to their assistants. In the Pharmacy Technician – Retail program at CDI College you will learn acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to work in a pharmacy environment.
  
  The Pharmacy Technician – Retail program will prepare you to work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist in community pharmacies and retail environments. You will learn to perform the numerous tasks carried out by technicians and assistants, including filling prescriptions, counting pills, measuring medications, labeling products and providing patients with background information regarding their medication.
