Health care aides provide the necessary support and assistance that clients need to help them carry out the necessary tasks for day-to-day living. Those tasks include but are not limited to mealtime assistance, medication delivery, bed making, client mobility, and assisting with child care.Effective communication is a key component for the role of health care aide. In many instances, health care aides will be faced with difficult situations that require the confidence and experience to resolve in a non-violent manner. At Reeves College, we stress the importance of professionalism and train our students on how to recognize potentially violent situations and how to solve and resolve them.
