Objectives
Canadore’s three-year Business Administration program will help you develop a broad range of business and administrative skills required to excel in a business environment. Discuss and study the essential concepts and elements of management with emphasis on effective problem-solving and decision-making skills. Study accounting, human resources, business policy and marketing by examining and evaluating various styles, functions, processes and patterns of management. Case studies, work projects, seminars and skill development sessions will be used to examine and exchange ideas as well as develop interpersonal skills. Emphasis is placed on work placement in the final semester so that you may gain experience in a relevant field. With the successful completion of five semesters, students may be eligible for Canadore’s Human Resources Certificate in accordance with HRPAO guidelines.

Practical experience
* Students undertake a two-month job placement with an approved employer of their choice. * Students may complete their final semester work placement in Mexico. * Community service can be awarded in lieu of assignments and as an “outside the classroom learning opportunity,” worth bonus marks in some of the courses.

With the successful completion of four semesters in the Business Administration program, students are eligible for the Ontario Management Development Program (OMDP) leadership certificate, recognized by both private and public sector employers. Attendance and grade conditions apply.
