* 3 elective credits in History from Imperialism and Nationalism: India, Capitalism and Communism in Southern Asia, Vietnam War, and Advanced Study in Asian History
* 9 elective credits in Religion from Islam, Buddhist Tradition, Mahayana Buddhism, Religion and Art in India, China and Japan, Hindu Thought and Institutions in Ancient Periods (1500–2000 BC) to the Beginning of the Medieval Period, Religion and Society in India
* 6 elective credits in Political Science from Political Systems of Southern Asia, Asian Political Systems, Asia and Power Politics, State and Socio‑Economic Changes in South Asia
