Objectives
We offer a wide selection of math and science courses, most with excellent lab components. Completion of this program will allow you to apply to any BC university at the third year level. General Science can lead to virtually any job requiring a general science background, from medicine, to research and teaching. As a graduate of an Associate Degree program, you will have successfully completed a well-rounded two-year slate of studies, and you’ll be ready to meet new challenges in employment or further education—you’ll also have demonstrated both the commitment and competence necessary for success in post-secondary academics and in the professional workforce. Course description
You're required to enroll in a minimum of four courses per semester.
Completion Requirements:
* two (2) Math courses (must include MATH 100 or MATH 108);
* two (2) courses in first-year English;
* six (6) courses in Science (must include one laboratory science course);
* six (6) courses in second-year Science in two or more subject areas;
* two (2) courses in Arts other than English (excluding mathematics and laboratory science);
* two (2) open elective courses from (Arts, Science or other areas).
For a total of 20 courses
All programs contain a blend of Arts and Science courses so as to support the concept of a broad education. All courses must be transferable to one of the four BC universities. In the course description this is indicated by (T).
