The college has been in the business of providing quality education and training to residents of western Manitoba for over 45 years. For staff and students alike, ACC offers a learning environment that is leading-edge and vital. Our students can obtain a solid, well-rounded and affordable education. Most programs are one to two years in length.

A high percentage of our graduates (more than 86 %) find employment related to their fields of student within one year of graduating. A number of our graduates become entrepreneurs as well, creating jobs for themselves and others.

About ACC

Assiniboine Community College offers over 30 programs in four academic schools of Agriculture & Environment, Business, Health & Human Services and Trades & Technology. With a main campus and the Manitoba Institute of Culinary Arts located in Brandon, the Parkland Campus in Dauphin, and five training centres in Winnipeg, Neepawa, Russell, Swan River, and Steinbach, ACC offers comprehensive education services across the province.

Choose how you study

Whether you want to study full-time, part-time, or by distance education, ACC offers apprenticeship programs, certificates, diplomas, mature student high school, continuing studies and contract training. The college’s educational delivery is offered through a variety of approaches, including face-to-face, distance and online, blended learning and integrated programs.

ACC has over 300 full-time and 350 part-time staff, with an annual full-time enrolment of over 2,400 in 2007-08. The college’s total annual enrolment is approximately 8,300 when combined with distance education, continuing studies and contract students from across Manitoba.

The college is the exclusive provider of training for practical nurses in the province. In 2007-08, ACC delivered six offerings of the Practical Nursing program in Brandon, Winnipeg and two rural Manitoba communities. The college also has the mandate for agricultural training for Manitoba through the School of Agriculture & Environment.

College begins relocation in Brandon

In September of 2007, the college began the first phase of its move to the former Brandon Mental Health Centre Site on the North hill, as the Culinary Arts and Hotel and Restaurant Management programs moved into state-of-the-art facilities at the new Manitoba Institute of Culinary Arts. The next phase of the college’s move to this heritage site began in August 2008 as the $45 million Len Evans Centre of Trades & Technology began construction. The final phase of relocation will see the remainder of ACC's Brandon-based programs moved to the Parkland building on the North hill.

ACC is committed to academic excellence and student success. The faculty and staff work tirelessly to design and deliver relevant, applied, current and comprehensive programs. The college prepares students to find, keep, and succeed in careers related to the training they receive.
