ObjectivesThe Recreation Therapy Program prepares graduates to plan, implement and evaluate a wide range of leisure services for children, adolescents and adults who experience a barrier to a healthy leisure lifestyle. Students will learn how to work with individuals and groups to assess their needs and interests in order to facilitate meaningful recreation and leisure experiences with and for them. This aids in achieving independent and personally fulfilling leisure lifestyles.
Practical experienceThere is an internship component associated with this program.
