Photography - Advanced Ontario College Graduate Certificate
ObjectivesThis one year program prepares the graduate for a career in the area of General, Commercial or Portrait Photography by allowing him/her the maximum exposure possible to studios, computers and individual tutoring by instructors. Each student will produce a convention portfolio, an interactive CD portfolio and an extensive website.
Entry requirementsThe Photography - Advanced program is a graduate program for those students who wish to gain more experience in a chosen specialty.

This course requires the student to complete 30 hours of working in a Photography related business. The work must be unpaid and must be related to professional photography. This is a Pass/Fail course resulting in a P or an F grade. The intent of this course is to give the student a hands-on experience in a photo studio, production facility or other professional business that has photographic services.

PHOT-6004 - Photo Lecture Series
A lecture series offered by various professionals in the photography industry, covering relevant subject matter for the Third Year Photography post diploma programs, including demonstrations of photographic techniques on-location, in the college and at commercial and portrait studios.

PHOT-6011 - Entrepreneurship 1
Students will plan and create a virtual photography business. Topics include building a corporate identity, developing a business plan, financial presentation to potential investors and bankers and identifying potential market and clients. Students will create a financing proposal, promotional material, pricing material for web and hard copy and corporate identity materials. Students will participate in mock interviews with potential clients or employers. This course will also instill good business practices and a professional image.
PHOT-6013 - Photography Major 5
This course gives the student the opportunity to specialize in his/her chosenphotographic specialty. Each student has the opportunity to major inPortrait, Commercial, or General Photography. Each major has a significantdigital imaging component integrated in the curriculum. Each student will also have the option to choose a Minor in various areas of Photography. During the academicyear, participation in competitions and exhibitions is compulsory. Judging and evaluation of images to professional standards is an integral learning tool incorporated in this course.
PHOT-6014 - Photo/Video Techniques 1
This course is designed to provide the Post-Graduate Photography students with the opportunity to develop a fundamental understanding of Video Production and Non-Linear Editing. The practical hands on experience the students receive will expand their knowledge of Digital Media creation and manipulation.
