ObjectivesThe Pharmaceutical and Food Science Technology program provides the essential skills, laboratory training, and experience in biology, microbiology and chemistry for students to pursue a career in science. Analysis of food, isolating and identification of micro-organisms, screening for the purity and chemical composition of pharmaceutical products are just a few of the skills acquired.
Practical experienceA work placement program in third year allows students to work one day per week for a company while completing their studies at Durham College.
