ObjectivesThe Personal Support Worker program will prepare you with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide others the care and assistance they need to live active, fulfilling lives in the community and institutions. It focuses on the full range of home- and health-related services required by the elderly, the disabled, those with chronic illnesses, the cognitively impaired, and those recovering from acute illnesses. Throughout the program, your training will give you the flexibility to adapt to changing settings, whether in the home, schools, community residential facilities, nursing homes or chronic care facilities.
