Office Administration - Legal Ontario College Diploma
ObjectivesStudents gain a basic understanding of core areas of law including real estate, corporate estates, civil litigation, and family law, with emphasis on legal office administration and procedures. Specialized terminology and documentation will form the basis on which keyboarding, word processing and electronic transcription skills are developed. As well, emphasis is placed on improving communication skills and on developing human relations.
Practical experienceA three week field placement component provides students with the opportunity to apply their skills and knowledge in actual office settings.
Entry requirementsThis program is designed for students who want advanced, specialized education to prepare for a career as a legal office assistant, one of the valuable members of the legal office team.
