Mechanical Technician - Tool & Die Maker Ontario College Diploma
ObjectivesA Tool and Die maker designs and fabricates the tooling, dies and moulds used in mass production. Learn the skills needed to build tools and machinery used in manufacturing industries. A solid mathematical and drafting base is developed, along with specific precision metal machining skills. Work on a variety of industrial equipment: state-of-the-art facilities are used for computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) and computer numerical control (CNC) programming.
Practical experienceThroughout the program, you will gain hands-on experience in producing parts of increasing complexity and accuracy in specialized projects. In your second year, you will develop focused skills relating to the tool and die maker field.
