Mechanical Technician - Tool and Die/CNC Ontario College Diploma
ObjectivesThis program offers great opportunities for those who intend to pursue a career as a tool and die maker, machinist or mould maker. This two-year program teaches students the skills and knowledge necessary for a career in today’s increasingly automated environment. Throughout the program, students gain hands-on experience in manufacturing parts of increasing difficulty and accuracy in specialized projects. Students will gain skills in the setup and operation of conventional (mills, lathes and grinders) and complex machining equipment such as CNC machining centers, CNC lathes and Wire EDM machines. This course combines conventional and CNC machining with enhancements in hydraulics, pneumatics, machine electrical, and tool design.
