  • Objectives Dalhousie is the first university in Canada to offer the MLIS/LLB degree combination. Both degrees are obtained in four years, rather than five if taken separately.     The program consists of the following:

    Year 1: First year classes of the MLIS program; INFO 0590 Practicum (Spring term) 
    Year 2: First year classes of the LLB program
    Year 3: 2 MLIS courses (1 required, 1 elective); 23-25 hours of LLB classes
    Year 4: 2 MLIS courses; 23-25 hours of LLB classes
