ObjectivesThis program is designed to provide mechanical maintenance skills to enable the student to troubleshoot, repair and maintain heavy industrial and plant equipment. This program consists of nine maintenance modules plus welding and electricity courses.

Description: This course is an introduction to electric motor controls, number systems and programmable logic controllers, basic wiring circuits and skills necessary to safety test common electrical systems and make minor repairs where permitted.

WELD1260 Welding For Mechanical Maintenance
Description: This module provides students with an understanding of welding principles. Upon successful completion students will be able to maintain and use oxy-acetylene and arc welding equipment at a basic level including welding, brazing, flame cutting and electric arc welding in the flat and horizontal positions.
NOTE: Students must provide their own safety shoes/boots, safety glasses and welding gloves to work in the shop.
