ObjectivesAchieve a Bow Valley College/Government of Alberta Health Care Aide Certificate using the updated HCA provincial curriculum. This program involves a combination of delivery modes including classroom, lab, Blackboard-based online learning and clinical instruction. Learn the important core skills needed to care for clients in the health care field. Topics include personal care, assisting with mobility and feeding needs, communication, assisting with medication delivery and clinical skills. Clinical experience in long-term care, acute care and community/homecare settings is included.
