ObjectivesThe Game Development three-year advanced diploma program is structured to provide training in principles and techniques required for the expanding game design and development industry. With a focus on art and design, students will learn design software, modeling, texturing, lighting, and animation skills. The program will cover the art of character, level and game design, working primarily with 3-dimensional environment editors and real-time game engines as well as 2-dimensional rich-media prototyping tools. Students will also develop programming skills and learn the scripting languages used to adapt and modify the game environment to meet specific design needs. Specific projects require students to research industry and business concepts related to game production and distribution. Project management, creative design and communication skills are integrated throughout this dynamic curriculum.
