Electronics Engineering Technician - Computers Ontario College Diploma
ObjectivesYear one provides a solid foundation in electronics and computer fundamentals. Students now have the option of a new specialization in Year Two - Computers. Computer specialists provide technical solutions and support to local and wide area networks. Graduates should be able to work with a complete range of active data; install, interconnect, configure, implement, and troubleshoot network systems, create and maintain documentation, be proficient with hardware wiring centres, routers, voice network hardware, and software PBX’s and apply networking solutions in a client-server environment. The program offers students the opportunity to pursue examinations that can lead to Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification and COMPTIA A+ and Net+. Students can also transfer into the Electronics Technology program.
Practical experienceThere is a co-op component associated with this program.
