Course descriptionVancouver Career College’s Carpenter Foundations program is designed to prepare students for positions on building sites and as apprentice carpenters with companies involved primarily in residential construction. Students receive hands-on training in classroom, lab and shop, learning the tools and practices used in the trade. They also gain practical experience in a 150-hour field study. Successful graduate will be prepared to write the standardized carpenter exam through the ITA and be eligible to pursue an apprenticeship in the carpentry profession.
