Course descriptionThe program will provide you with a broad range of fundamental health care, psychology and sociology knowledge as well as the essential interpersonal communication skills to work with a variety of clients in this field.
This program also meets the formal training component of the CACCF (Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation) certification exam, an internationally-recognized and respected credential. After graduation, you will be qualified to work in entry-level positions in alcohol and drug treatment centers, group homes, correctional facilities, community mental health centers and outreach programs.
