ObjectivesThe Dental Assisting Program is a 10-month full-time program that prepares the graduate for a career as a Certified Dental Assistant. Certified Dental Assistants work in various settings which include general and specialty dental practices, hospital dental clinics, community health agencies and educational institutions. Most Certified Dental Assistants are employed in private dental practice.
Entry requirementsStudents entering this program should have an interest in working with people, a desire to provide professional health care services, an aptitude for working independently and as part of a team, a sense of responsibility and the ability to problem solve while working quickly with accuracy and neatness.
