Computer Engineering Technician - Embedded Networks Ontario College Diploma
ObjectivesOur new Computer Engineering Technician program will prepare you for a challenging career with the latest in computer engineering and networks technology. The program will evolve during your enrolment to reflect the ever-growing innovations of the internet embedded revolution. This two-year program prepares graduates for a variety of full-time jobs in the computer industry, including product development, manufacturing, service and technical sales. You will obtain an in-depth education in microcontroller programming and interfacing with Motorola 68HC11. You will be able to assist with troubleshooting, repairing, testing, measuring and documenting a variety of computer-based control systems and subsystems. Embedded interfaces and protocols are typically found in automobiles, airplanes, appliances, security systems, traffic light controls, city lighting systems, and other applications with sensors and actuators.
Practical experienceThere is an optional co-op aspect to this program.
