Objectives
The social work programs at Carleton University are based on the structural approach to social work. This approach provides a critical framework for analysis of social work knowledge and practice. It is based on an analysis of how economic, social, political and legislative contexts shape individual and societal problems. Through this approach, the School of Social Work promotes the development of innovative social work practice directed toward advancing equality and social justice.
