ObjectivesThe curriculum is devised to prepare graduates to meet the present and future needs of health care. Graduates will be eligible to write the nurse registration examination, and upon successful completion can apply for registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and will be able to practice as beginning professionals in a variety of clinical settings. In addition to the required natural and social science courses, this program offers students a broad nursing curriculum with emphasis on providing extensive and varied clinical experience. Students will develop skills in critical thinking, self-directed learning, effective interpersonal communication, information technology, leadership, and management.
