ObjectivesThis Bachelor of Science in Nursing program is designed to educate nurses to be effective practitioners capable of meeting the needs of a changing client population within the health care system. Graduates are prepared to work with individuals, families, groups, and communities within a variety of settings. In all settings, the graduate's practice focuses on maintaining people's health, preventing illness and restoring health. Restoring health includes helping people to care for themselves and also helping family members to care for one another. Nurses who graduate from the program are prepared to be active participants in the ongoing reform of the health care system.
