Bachelor of Engineering in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering
ObjectivesIncreasingly, the field of health care relies on technology. Biomedical and electrical engineers are interested in solving biological and medical problems. They are also concerned with designing and building new components and systems for biomedical applications. This program allows students to integrate their core curriculum in electrical engineering with their understanding of biological systems to improve medical practice. Biomedical and Electrical Engineering includes a combination of course work in mathematics, natural and life sciences, applied engineering science and design, and elective courses from the arts, culture, humanities, and social sciences. The program also includes aspects of directed and individual study, supervised project work, extensive laboratory and industrial (clinical) field experience, oral and written presentations.
