ObjectivesThe Southern Asia Studies program focuses on the societies and cultures of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh with emphasis on both their religious and cultural systems and their modern history and development. Some comparative work on other indianized cultures of Southern Asia such as Sri Lanka, Nepal, Indonesia and Malaysia is also included.

* 18 elective credits in any relevant courses in the core disciplines or courses dealing with Southern Asia in the Departments of Economics, Education, English, Geography, Sociology/Anthropology or the Faculty of Fine Arts and the John Molson School of Business
