Aviation Pilot - Fixed Wing - Aboriginal Ontario College Diploma
ObjectivesThe First Nations Technical Institute (FNTI) Aviation Diploma program is the only Indigenous, postsecondary program of its kind in Canada. Offered in partnership with Canadore College, this is a six semester program delivered over a three calendar year period. The program provides an opportunity in a unique learning environment for Indigenous learners to become qualified as professional pilots. In addition to providing the mechanisms for learners to acquire a pilot licence, the program is designed to provide a more liberal education and broad base to fulfill industry expectations. The curriculum meets the Ontario Ministry of Education and Training requirements for postsecondary studies as well as Transport Canada regulations and standards for flight training.
