ObjectivesAssociate of Science Degree in Chemistry gets you started in an exciting career as a chemist or gives you the first two years of your university degree. Camosun offers fascinating courses that provide the chemical concepts for understanding life and the environment. You'll study atomic structure, molecules and chemical bonding, chemical reactions, stoichiometry, and organic chemistry. All our courses are taught by dedicated and highly-qualified instructors who provide hands-on instruction. You'll have more seminars and labs than first and second year University offerings with the labs taught by the instructor not a lab assistant or teacher assistant. You'll work with an advisor to complete a Personal Learning Plan to help guide you to success. As a graduate of the two-year long Associate Degree program, you'll have successfully completed a well-rounded two-year slate of studies, and you’ll be ready to meet new challenges in employment or further education; you’ll also have demonstrated both the commitment and competence necessary for success in post-secondary academics and in the professional workforce.
