ObjectivesPsychology is a tremendously varied field. Psychologists counsel, conduct research, assist business, industry and community, study social development, promote physical and psychological health through careers in private and public practice, teach, and find niches in disciplines close to forensic science and rehabilitation such as in criminal justice, medical science, law, and education.

Students transferring to the University of Victoria (UVic) require: two Social Science courses (not Soc); one of: COMP 156, or BUS 140; six Humanities courses; BIOL 100 and BIOL 102, OR BIOL 124 and BIOL 126; one PHIL course; MATH 12 or equivalent; and one of: MATH 100, MATH 108, MATH 109 or PHIL 210.
2. Students transferring to the University of British Columbia (UBC) require: UBC's PSYC 100 or PSYC 101, and PSYC 102, PSYC 217 and PSYC 218; two courses from: BIOL 124, BIOL 126, BIOL 228, CHEM 110, CHEM 112, CHEM 120, CHEM 121, GEOG 204, GEOG 206, GEOS 100, GEOS 101, PHYS 104, PHYS 105; Grade 12 second language or two to four second language courses (see Academic Advising); two from ENGL 280, ENGL 282, ENGL 284.

Completion Requirements
The course requirements for the Associate Degree program credential are mandated by the provincial government. You must complete a total of 20 university transfer courses, and achieve an overall GPA of 2.0 ("C"), to obtain an Associate of Arts Degree in Psychology. No course may be used to meet more than one of the specific requirements; 25% of your courses must be completed at Camosun College.
