ObjectivesAs a student of philosophy, you can expect to gain critical awareness, knowledge of ideas that have shaped Western Culture, vastly increased reading comprehension skills, an appreciation of clarity, the ability to articulate complex ideas and issues, and a tolerance for opposing points of view. As a graduate of the Associate of Arts Degree in Philosophy, you will have successfully completed a well-rounded two-year slate of studies, and you’ll be ready to meet new challenges in employment or further education; you’ll also have demonstrated both the commitment and competence necessary for success in post-secondary academics and in the professional workforce.
