ObjectivesThe Associate of Arts Degree in General Arts program is designed to provide you with two years of full-time study in the general arts, completing 20 University Transfer courses that will allow you to enter into year three of a degree program at any BC university. You'll have the skills for any career that requires good communications skills and wide general knowledge. As a graduate of an Associate Degree program, you’ll be ready to meet new challenges in employment or further education — you’ll also have demonstrated both the commitment and competence necessary for success in post-secondary academics and in the professional workforce.

Course descriptionAs an Associate Degree student you're required to enrol in a minimum of four courses per semester.
Courses
* two (2) courses in first-year English;
* three (3) courses in Science which include at least:
o one (1) course in Math, or Computing Science, or Statistics;
AND
o one (1) course in a Laboratory Science;
* twelve (12) courses in Arts which include at least:
o two (2) courses in Social Science;
AND
o two (2) courses in Humanities;
AND
o two (2) courses in Arts in the first or second-year level;
AND
o six (6) courses in Arts at the second-year level in two or more subject areas; and,
* three (3) open elective courses (Arts, Science or other areas).
For a total of 20 courses
All programs contain a blend of Arts and Science courses so as to support the concept of a broad education. All courses need to be transferable to at least one BC university. In the course description this indicated by (T).
