Animation - Digital Production Ontario College Advanced Diploma
ObjectivesOur students will engage in the pursuit of excellence in this incredible digital art form. Their studies will combine the various aspects of digital storytelling, performance and visualization leading into the development of computer generated film that demonstrates artistic sensibility and skills. Emphasis is on thorough understanding and successful application of the fundamentals of animation with a focus on industry level character animation and performance. Students choosing the third year advanced diploma program will also create and design projects that will put into practice all of their skills, and allow a focus on a chosen field of study, in the areas of modeling, rigging, texturing, lighting, compositing, editing, or continuing to pursue excellence in character animation. They will be introduced to business and studio practices at an advanced level giving them insight into the industry. They will gather samples of their traditional and digital artwork into a professional portfolio and demo reel. Our main focus is not only to give students the skills that they will need to get an industry job, but also to advance them to a level of professionalism that will ensure a long standing career.
