ObjectivesThe Advertising program reflects the real world of the advertising industry.The program deals with the three main components of the industry: media, account service and creative areas. Students learn the workings of the various media, including broadcast (television and radio), magazines, newspapers and outdoors.
Practical experienceThey also become familiar with account service by managing and servicing accounts for the college newspaper, The Chronicle.
Entry requirementsThis program appeals to those with a creative flair, especially the ability to generate fresh ideas and concepts, and to those who can work in a free-flowing, unstructured environment.
