Description: This course will discuss the principles of product and service quality evaluation and control. Applied technologies will include development and operation of quality control systems, application and analysis of testing and inspection procedures, the ability to use metrology and statistical methods to diagnose and correct improper quality control practices, and an understanding of human factors and motivation, facility with quality cost concepts and techniques.

QUAL1210 Quality Auditing
Description: The purpose of this course is to train internal quality auditors to evaluate the compliant status of a Quality Management system (QMS) to determine whether quality activities comply with planned arrangements and whether these activities have been implemented effectively. The students will learn how to apply the process approach to auditing in order to examine processes and procedures. The ISO 9000-2000 series of standards and ISO 19011 International Standard forms a major part of the course material.

QUAL1220 Measurement System Analysis
Description: This course will examine the nature of measurement systems and the fundamental analyses used to examine them. Participants will learn about the various studies that can gauge the extent of variation within measurement results and what the sources of the variation are. Sources of variation can be found by analyzing a measuring device's bias, linearity, stability repeatability and reproducibility.
