    Description: Recommended: COMP1100 Excel or equivalent knowledge. This course builds on the knowledge gained in the Excel course. Emphasis will be placed on organizing and consolidating data with efficient multi-sheet models; applying arrays and formulas to new and powerful uses; working in an OLE (Object-Linking and Embedding) environment; recording and editing macros; advanced charting; utilizing scenarios; pivot tables; and finding the best solution using Solver.

    Description: Recommended: COMP1310 Excel - Advanced or equivalent knowledge.
    This course is intended to advance a student's knowledge of how to approach and develop spreadsheet applications. Topics include: understanding and developing macros; transaction processing; user-specific forms; importing and exporting across operating system platforms; templates; and application development using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA). Course assignments will be based on business applications.

Emphasis will be placed on: planning and creating spreadsheets using formulas and functions; data analysis; generating graphs; and, linking summarizing and consolidating worksheets.
