  • Objectives
    The Aboriginal Law and Advocacy Program will prepare graduates to assist individuals and communities in the resolution of outstanding issues which do not require legal representation, but rely upon effective advocacy skills. Aboriginal-specific curriculum and a thorough analysis of the justice system will enable students to examine the contemporary context and to contemplate alternatives appropriate to Aboriginal people in Canada.
  • Practical experience
    The Internship Placement in the fourth semester provides students with opportunities to gain experience and develop work skills in Aboriginal organizations, legal clinics and firms.
